*NEW – Corona Virus Updates – Impact on training – NEW*

***UPDATED 27 June 2020***

Following the updated Government guidelines, effective from 4th July, I am pleased to be able to offer some puppy class training for the socialisation of puppies.  These will be in smaller groups (5 puppies maximum) and will be outside in a secure pen.  This will allow us to maintain social distancing while starting to put some of the basic training aids in place.  Classes will start, at my paddock in Eastington, on Tuesday 14th July and will run for 45 minutes from 9.30am – 10.15am.  Courses will run for six weeks and will be at cost of £50 per dog.  I am sorry but I will not be able to accept any spectators until lock down eases further.  This means it will be one handler per dog.  If you are interested and would like to know more or book a place contact me: Steve 07748 183739.

Comms from 14th May

Based on the update from the Government over the last week and specifically the guidance they have issued since Sunday 10th May, I am delighted to let you all know I will be starting offering 1 to 1 lessons at my Paddock in Eastington from Monday 18th May.  I can offer, basic puppy training, help with behavioural challenges as well as agility lessons for those who are over 14 months old.  A 30 minute lesson will cost £20 and an hour lesson £40.  If you are interested in a lesson or want to find out more please feel free to call me or drop me a text: 07748 183739.

I will update you again when we can get back to more regular classroom lessons.

Comms from 18th March

Due to the escalating situation and the most recent update from the Government I have taken the decision to postpone all training at indoor venue’s.  This means, for the foreseeable future, I will no longer be training on Tuesdays at Eastington Village Hall or Thursdays at Brookthrope Village Hall.

Once the situation changes and I am again able train at these venue’s I will contact all current customers and we will continue classes.

At this point in time I will continue, to provide 1 to 1 support to customers and will also continue with agility training at my outdoor venue in Eastington where it is easier to enforce the social distancing (2m) protocol.

I thank all of my customers for their understanding and the message of support you have been sending.

Steve Pitcher

Comms from Monday 16 March

I take the health and safety of all of my customers and my family very seriously, therefore, I will continue to follow current Government guidance:  https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-response

In line with this, I am putting in place a number of measures which mean that, at this point in time, TRAINING WILL CONTINUE:

  • I will be implementing, as far as possible, a 2m rule in all classes which means they will run slightly differently and we will use venues in a different way.
  • I will ensure that I follow all of the virus reduction guidance, eg handwashing regularly etc. and will ask all customers to do the same.
  • I will display posters setting out when not to enter a class at all locations.
  • In all situations there will be NO spectators and only ONE person training each dog
  • If you have symptoms please DO NOT attend your lesson(s) for the following 14 days. The recognised symptoms are:
    • A high temperature
    • A new continuous cough
  • If anyone in your household has symptoms (see above) DO NOT attend your lesson(s) for 14 days.

I will keep the situation under review and will provide future updates by means of this website page.
